I looked into buying one for a long time. I've got a lot of S10e parts from my hybrid Fiero project I did in 2009-2010. Unfortunately, other people seem to think they're worth an awful lot more than I do so I never have owned a complete truck. I'd still like to have one, but t...

Just throwing out some thoughts on charging... I have a 97 lead-acid truck so I'm not familiar with the NiMH batteries. However, I did have to deal with some charging issues. Since the Panasonic's are not available, I installed 12V/75AH AGM batteries designed for UPS systems....

Issac, Sounds like you're looking at options? But this is why I bought my S-10. If you wanted to build an electric yourself, a good kit is around $10K. And that's DC, with no re-gen, A/C, Heater... I know nobody here wants to see one of these trucks dismantled for components,...

What about using pulsed heating? Have a timer that heats for an hour, then off for 1/2 hour. Repeat that over and over. It will reduce the localized heating and allow things to equilibrate. Stephen in Oakland On Mar 3, 2011, at 9:02 PM, Niel Nielsen wrote: > I've been experime...
