It would be my post below. The SOC will adjust for low modules but you should not have that problem with a good pack of lithium. As long as the modules are holding up and staying in balance all the BMS will track amps in and out. Ideal would be modules that can balance themsel...

Hello Naiche Yes and no. To do it correctly would take reprogramming the truck for a different chemistry. The only one that could do that would be GM. The truck will track amps in and out so that will give a SOC you can use. If the truck SOC works by only counting amps it will...

Negative delta V applies to the nickel chemistries (NiCd, NiMH). Not Lead (or any others that I'm aware of). It is especially apparent in NiCd. Less so in NiMH. At the end of charge, Nickel chemistries actually show a very slight DROP in voltage. (It's *very* slight in compari...

Michael; Sounds like a bad idea. The original lead batteries are about 7.9 liters each, weigh 40 lbs. You are trying to replace with 13.7 liters and 70 lbs each. That will put you 790 lbs overweight on a vehicle with 950 lbs total payload, and looking for another 151 liters of...
