We have replaced the control logic cards in two S10 Drives. We use the factory power section but not the factory control cards. If it is only the control logic section and not the power section we may have the parts that you need. Richard Hatfield Lightning Motorcycle On Jul 2...

[S10-EV] Inverter went pop

Looks like it was Jim's truck several years back that had the capacitor issue. Look in the archives for 2006 under the heading of "Capacitors are your friend." A good explaination from Jim amd Jeff about what happens when the caps let go. --- On Thu, 7/28/11, [email removed] w...

[S10-EV] Inverter went pop

Michael MacDonell Thu, 28 Jul 2011 18:23:02 -0700 (PDT) 2011 Thread size 6
The part I'm referring to is a vertically mounted circuit board right in the middle of the case along the back wall. When I say the capacitors are fine I mean they are not blown apart like the ones Jeff Thomas posted pics of a few years back. I thought I remember the blue caps...

[S10-EV] Tires

List member Thu, 21 Jul 2011 18:47:39 EDT 2011 Thread size 3
I had searched around about 9 months ago since many manufacturers now are making fuel efficient tires. The problem I came across is almost none of them are sized to fit the S-10, Ranger or RAV4. The best rated tire at the time was by Michelin. A couple of notches below the Mic...

[S10-EV] Air conditioning prblem

Richard Falk Thu, 21 Jul 2011 09:22:29 -0700 (PDT) 2011 Thread size 1
My air conditioning is not working. Also my heat pump did not work this winter. The diesel heater worked great when it was really cold. Last summer my air conditioning worked some time, it was temperamental. it would start working then after a while of driving a warning light...

[S10-EV] Detailed Procedure for Battery Pack Blower Motor Replacement - Repeat Send

John Miller Wed, 22 Jun 2011 15:20:09 -0600 2011 Thread size 3
One thing I did after the third fan/connector burnt out was to run a separate fused circuit directly from the battery to the fan power and ground. I seem to remember Jeff saying half the problem was a shared ground with some other component and the other half being the various...

[S10-EV] Detailed Procedure for Battery Pack Blower Motor Replacement - Repeat Send

Gil Dawson Thu, 16 Jun 2011 14:14:10 -0700 2011 Thread size 3
Robert-- I have not read any previous post you might have written on this topic, but I'm assuming that the blower motor inside the battery box isn't running, or is not running fast enough. If so, and, before you buy a new blower motor, you might wish to first review an experie...

[S10-EV] Paddle Light Stays On

McMullin, Kevin Fri, 10 Jun 2011 07:41:08 -0400 2011 Thread size 2
Hi Scott, I had a problem with my paddle switch too, but mine would not come on. So you could drive away with the paddle plugged in. I never missed that light because it is not part of the "Bulb Check" on start-up. So if your paddle is not plugged in when you start up, you'll...

[S10-EV] Paddle Light Stays On

Scott Leck Thu, 9 Jun 2011 20:58:53 -0700 (GMT-07:00) 2011 Thread size 2
Twice in the last three weeks, the paddle icon on the dash has come on during startup and will not go off. As it appears that truck thinks that the charger paddle is still attached, the truck won't move. Both times, after a few minutes, the light does not come on, and everythi...

Hi Folks, I have the other S-10 in Colorado, a 98 NiMH from EVBones. My APCM is probably failing also. It started "not charging" when ambient temp was cold (>40 deg F) and then stopped charging when ambient temp was too hot (>70 deg F). Charging would abort with E2. Now it onl...

This may not be possible and I may be crazy, but has anyone checked on the specs for the APCM for the Chevy Volt to see if it is compatible in power output and capabilities as the EV1/S10-EV APCM? I am not suggesting that it will plug right it and work, but maybe we can develo...

So that's it then. Anyone want to buy a dead truck whole for parts? Or buy some of the parts? The battery pack is in great condition, in balance and so on. It has been a daily driver but only in town and typically only for 5-10 miles. Very occasionally it has done 20 miles. I...

[S10-EV] ABS failure

My ABS has failed. It was a few months ago, but I'm just posting now hoping that there might be a replacement module out there somewhere. I didn't keep any of the error codes from back then, but here's how it presented it's self. I think, from the beginning of driving the S10E...
