The EV1 Dash program runs on the Palm handheld only, not on laptops. There is some rudimentary software for laptops, using the same OBDII hardware interface. Michael Schwabe might be able to help with that. AFAIK, there is no software or tool other than the GM Tech II Scantool...

Hi Tom, The EV Dash program only works with the Palm. You don't need a fancy one - I just used a Palm III. A couple of the EV Dash functions that worked on the EV1 do not work on the S-10. These were a minor thing, all the important stuff works. I am not aware of any laptop pr...

No, the S10E is not OBDII compliant in the way you'd like it to be, although it does have an OBDII connector. AutoTap and similar products will not work. The Tech II Scan Tool needs special software to work with the S10E, and I think the software may be different between PbA a...

Hi Tom, Good guess (I imagine it has something to do with uneven battery voltage). I'll offer my speculation on what the SOC gage represents. Since the S-10 shares much in common with the EV1, my guess is that the SOC gage corresponds with the bar graph that the EV1 has to sho...
