As far as I know, charging the battery to full does not reduce the service life of the batteries. I don't think that is what Don was talking about. I think Don was referring to the fact that if you charge your pack to full and then let it set for a few hours then it will have...

I have found early morning charging (cool temps.) and only charging to 3/4 capacity will keep the A/C from going on. You might be able to use conductive charging and not worry about temperature issues if you follows these rules. However, you still have the "state of charge" in...

Jeff, I read your post here and the one following. Do you have any idea what these S-10's go for at the auction? I am new to EV's. One man I know of in Portland, Oregon, has one that I believe would be like these. The biggest thing for me would be to arrange shipping out to th...

Gentlemen, the S-10EV utilizes a sealed battery box with active refrigeration for pack cooling. Whereas the Rav utilizes passive cooling only. During charge, the S-10EV pack temperature is limited to 87 degrees F in order to maximize charge energy, efficiency, and battery cycl...

A quick telephone call to the manufacturer disclosed that their product probably *will not* work with the S-10EV. But you're welcome to buy it, and try it, and possibly eat it. Not likely they'll accept a return. That's why they want you to check the compatibility list first....
