I would not recommend using a 1255 in an EV. It was developed for Hybrid use and that is a totally different animal. Lead acid has a hard enough time standing up to the demands of an EV when they are designed for EVs. Obviously this is not the equivalent of using ICE starting...

Greetings all, I found two interesting things working on the s10e over the weekend and wanted to know if anyone has some ideas on these issues. The inverter issues is clearly the more important one as I think it is causing the DTC-279 that is stopping the vehicle from running....

Yes it should "lurch" every few seconds but it is subtly different with every truck. If your pedal pots were a problems you would get a accell pedal correlation dtc. look at the scan tool during driving @ data page 0 (I believe) and watch the - amps when coasting. About 4 sec...

Hey Frank, Thanks for that help, much appreciated. Something just didn't smell right about it - years of wiring have helped me somewhere along the line (I think it was all the screwed up UK Lucas systems) its nice having a 6th sense sometimes. Good suggestion on the BPCM, too....
