Wow, it looks like you're having fun. A tip for you: You have a blown buffer. And you'll need a new FF motor too. The Inverter issue is a bit more complex though. Jeff On Jul 7, 2008, at 9:49 AM, Steve Hawkins wrote: > Greetings all, > > > > I found two interesting things work...

Greetings all, I found two interesting things working on the s10e over the weekend and wanted to know if anyone has some ideas on these issues. The inverter issues is clearly the more important one as I think it is causing the DTC-279 that is stopping the vehicle from running....

Hello all, I have recently gotten my S10E running using the Panasonic EC-HV1255 batteries and it started out running perfect but now has quit regenerating. I have no codes and PPS readings appear normal. I have not done a check on resistance readings yet. The vehicle runs grea...

Hello all. I am having too much fun here. My '98 s10e has the ev-95 pack installed now with upgraded cooling and vitalization and a tech2 is coming for me to work with this weekend. The engineers I am working with agree that she should run properly unless there are additional...

[S10-EV] Coolant pump

As I remember, I think Jeff said that the original GM coolant pump on these trucks had a very short life (something like 500 hours as I remember). When he did the rebuilds, he found a longer life pump (made by Bosch, as I remember), that I think fit nicely. From my memory, I t...

My tire went flat on my Chevy S10 EV. Any suggestions on how to change a tire on this truck? I don't have a spare or a jack for the truck. If I call roadside assistance, are there any precautions? The owners manual is no help. Thanks, Stephen in Oakland "It's a question of dis...

Hello Alex Pat touched on what I believe you are noticing. I am only 50 miles from you and it is the ambient temperature. It is now warm enough in our area that the heat generated by the batteries during charging require the use of the A/C. When your batteries are reaching nea...

[S10-EV] Parts questions

Steve Hawkins Tue, 20 May 2008 09:34:00 -0600 2008 Thread size 3
Hi Tom, I have just reworked my '98 box and made manual notes as to the high voltage wiring, and some of the low voltage wiring. If no-one comes up with a proper GM box wiring diagram (which I would be very interested in also) I would be happy to forward the data I have if it...

Tom, I built a honeycomb aluminum half tonneau cover for my truck when I had it. I used 3/8 Al honeycomb and then used aluminum channel from home depot along the edges (super glued on- super glue holds a strong al-al bond). Foam tape under the cover to protect the paint and se...

My truck is going to need a minor makeover out back. Disney placed a gargantuan green decal over the whole tailgate with "ELECTRIC VEHICLE" written in big, bold letters. The original owner then spray painted directly over the decal to cover the Disney logo. I prefer the origin...

Does anyone here have the scoop on the trucks that came from Disney's fleet? I took order of an immaculate 1998 that came from there. No dice contacting their fleet maintenance to get it's operational history. The original NiMH's were switched out al'a GM to the VRLA Panasonic...
