Free to a good home - A complete set of service manuals for the EV1 (5+ large binders). Since the S10 EV and the EV1 shared many common parts, these manuals are likely useful to an S10 EV owner. These manuals are located in south San Jose, CA. I'd prefer to give them to someon...

I need to sell my 1998 Chevy S-10 EV. I don't have a safe place to charge it here in San Francisco. It needs a good home to keep the batteries conditioned while awaiting a fix on the fire issue. It is in great shape and gets about 35 mile on hilly SF and my freeway driving. Ma...

I have to concur with Paul on this question. There are additional items to address. Adding that if you have refitted from NiMH to PbA, you also need the software and tools to reprogram the BPCM to PbA battery chemistry. The existing charging capabilities of the EV1 drive syste...

Are you sure you are talking about a GM Factory 1997-1998 S10EV? The factory built trucks don't have the 2 batteries under the cab, nor the spare tire. I suspect you are talking about a slightly different beast, but that may make a big difference, such as is your vehicle even...

Personally, I think you should not plan to "long term" store the truck by disconnecting the HV. The NiMH batteries in these trucks will self-discharge in only a few weeks, so they need to be charged at least every two weeks, preferrably every week. You shouldn't fear the fire...
