I only have 1500 miles on my new pack of lead acids, so probably not right now. But has someone successfully installed LifePo4's in the S10E? I could figure out mounting and wiring, but is there a software change or any charging issues? What is used for battery management, (BM...

Kevin , I'm not sure if you've read in the archives but there has been a lot of discussion about the limitations of the 120 volt convenience charger . There were only designed to charge lead acid EV1's and S10's , they won't work on a NiMh vehicle because of the lack of power...

Does anyone know where the BPCM gets its temp info for charging the battery pack? Pack sensors or the ambient sensor in the grill. Here's my issue... If the ambient temp is below about 40, there is a, "Thermal Request", to heat the pack to allow more efficient charging. Also,...

There's likely to be a fit issue to begin with. NiMH batteries have a very different charge profile than PbA, so the existing BMS will NOT work unless it can be reprogrammed. Changing battery chemistries can be done, but it's a lot of very careful and relatively technical work...
